I've decided to put the kids on the simple carbohydrate diet for 2 weeks and see if I can get any results. We've had good luck with Feingold, but it does nothing for Kobe, who is allergic to wheat, so I'm gonna try this on the recommendation of my friend.
I think this will work out well for the kids. They usually just have fruit and cheese for snacks at school, so no big deal there. Also they can have homemade yogurt and kefir, which are always a big hit for breakfast or any other time. They really don't have a varied diet so this shouldn't be too hard for us.

From E's blog -
1. If you could suddenly speak one language fluently (that you don't currently speak) what would it be?
I would say Japanese. It's really important for my kids to have knowledge about their ethnicity, why not myself too? I realized, reading over this, that it sounds like I am Japanese. :) No...I'm white, my kids are Japanese. I'm just saying that I should have knowledge of THEIR ethinicity as well.
2. If you were to suggest a foreign film, that you really enjoyed, what one would you suggest?
Ooh, that's a hard one. There's so many that I like. Would it be funny if I said Totoro? Hehe. That would definitely win the award for *most watched*. Hmmm... I'm going to go with Run Lola Run, Amelie, House of Flying Daggers. I wish I could pick something a bit more obscure, but I'm not TOO much of a foreign film fanatic.
3. If you had to call another country home (other than the one you currently live in) what one would you choose?
Well, I do live in Hawai'i, which is basically stolen foreign soil. Does that count? Seriously, I would love to live in Australia. I'd move there in a second if I could - the vastness of the country really appeals to me, as well as the frienliness of the people, the multitude of ecosystems and it still has a touch of the "island style". I'd take New Zealand too.
4. If you went out to buy an import music CD, what one would you buy?
Oh, I don't know. I am totally not cool enough to answer this question.
5. If you were to chose an ethnic dinner, what would it be?
Oh man I would give anything for a good falafel or some Indian food right now.

EEG came back normal :) Doesn't really mean anything, but I'll take it as good news.
In other news, Kobe has decided that he's not going back to school after spring break. He's been having these huge blowups over the stupidest littlest things. The other night he just really freaked out and was hiding under his bed. I didn't know what to do so I called Violet's psychologist and she said that he might be worried about something at school. When I tried to talk to him he did confess that he doesn't had anyone to play with ALL year and that at recess he just walks around by himself. Apparently from his perception the kids like him, they just ignore him. I feel so bad, I can't imagine what that must have been like to feel like that for almost the whole YEAR! He's also been having some problems with writing and stuff and has been getting really stressed about his homework. I also think there might be a little bullying going on by this one kid. Kobe said he always asks him for his snacks and other stuff, he says he's not mean, but from K's actions and the little bits he tells me it sounds like bullying. I'm going to have to have a meeting with the teacher and principal next week. Moments like this make me feel like such a shitty parent. Ugh. Why didn't I know about this sooner? Why didn't he feel like he could talk to me? Anyway, the therapist is coming over today to talk to him and help him figure out a plan so that he feels like he can go back to school. He said that he wanted to talk to her because he knows that she helps kids.
Edit: Therapy session went great and Kobe is now willing to go back to school. Whew. Crisis averted. I am SO ready for spring break to be over.
